Rajesh Shrotriya

In September 2000, Dr. Shrotriya joined the Company as President and Chief Operating Officer and in August 2002, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer. In this capacity he has spearheaded major changes in business strategy and coordinated structural reorganization culminating in the formation of Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Previously, Dr. Shrotriya was Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer for SuperGen, Inc. and Vice President, Medical Affairs and Vice President, Chief Medical Officer at MGI Pharma, Inc. For 18 years he held various positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, the most recent being Executive Director Worldwide CNS Clinical Research.

Shyam Kumaria

Shyam Kumaria brings to Spectrum over 30 years of financial, accounting, and operations management experience serving public and private companies in a variety of industries. Mr. Kumaria's career spans more than two decades at Deloitte & Touche, the international public accounting and consulting firm. As a Senior Manager in the middle-market group of Deloitte & Touche, in Los Angeles, he led over 20 mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings for client companies. Over the course of his career he has served public and private companies ranging in size up to $1 billion in revenue including, among others, the healthcare, technology, and financial services industries.

In addition, Mr. Kumaria spent ten years providing strategic finance, accounting, and business process consulting services to small companies in turnaround and growth modes; most recently at The Finance and Accounting Connection, Inc., where he provided interim and project-based financial services to client companies.

Mr. Kumaria holds an Executive MBA from Columbia University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of CPA's, and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

George Tidmarsh

Dr. Tidmarsh founded Horizon Pharma and Threshold Pharmaceuticals, taking Threshold public in 2005 and guiding Horizon to successful completion of its Phase 3 program. Dr. Tidmarsh has also held various positions at Coulter Pharmaceuticals, including its Chief Medical Officer. During that time, he played a key role in the landmark $142 million co-development deal with SmithKline for its radiopharmaceuticals product, Bexxar, for the treatment of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Prior to Coulter Pharmaceuticals, he held scientific and clinical positions at Sequus Pharmaceuticals, Gilead Sciences, and SyStemix. Dr. Tidmarsh led fundamental scientific discovery efforts at SyStemix and Gilead Sciences and played a key role in the FDA approval process of Doxil, including the successful presentation to the FDA Oncology Drug Advisory Committee.

Prior to joining Spectrum, Dr. Tidmarsh founded Metronome Therapeutics, a privately held biopharmaceutical company focused on novel cancer drug development. Dr. Tidmarsh served as a consultant to Spectrum prior to his appointment.

Dr. Tidmarsh, received his B.S. in Microbiology from Stanford University, and his M.D. and Ph.D. from the Stanford University School of Medicine, where he also completed fellowships in Pediatric Oncology and Neonatal Intensive Care. In addition, he has been a clinical staff member at Stanford Children's Hospital and El Camino Hospital. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed scientific papers published in leading journals.

James E. Shields
Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer
James Shields Spectrum Pharmaceuticals

Mr. Shields' experience spans Fortune 500, biotechnology, as well as small-to-mid-size companies with an emphasis on establishing and leading successful commercial sales operations. Mr. Shields' oncology sales experience includes serving as the Vice President of Sales for Oncology and Injectable Products for MGI Pharmaceuticals, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Oncology for Supergen.

Mr. Shields also held positions of increasing responsibility with several pharmaceutical companies, including Centocor, Bristol-Myers Squibb, ICI, and Stuart Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Shields was most recently with Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Limited.

Mr. Shields earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Kentucky.
